Introduction
There is no better way to spend Christmas then to spend it in Lapland where Santa Claus himself lives. This package gives you the opportunity to experience a traditional Christmas in the world famous Santa Claus Village, meet both Mr. and Mrs. Santa and learn more about traditional Sami culture. This is for sure something that will give both you and your children long lasting memories!
Itinerary
December 23: Arrival in Finnish Lapland
Your exciting Christmas holiday commences at Rovaniemi Airport where you are met and transferred to Clarion Hotel Santa Claus. After check in rest of the day is free to enjoy this spectacular destination and why not try a traditional Finnish sauna at your hotel. In the evening you will be served a delicious dinner at the hotel.
December 24: Christmas Eve and Visit to a Reindeer Farm
Following a traditional Scandinavian breakfast at your hotel, the day’s adventures begin with a guided snowmobile trip* to a reindeer farm where you learn about reindeer husbandry and the Sami culture. You then have the opportunity to take a ride in a reindeer sled and participate in the special Lappish ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle before you are transferred back to the hotel.
Back at the hotel the children can participate in decorating the Christmas tree and baking ginger breads in the hotels kitchen before it is time for the traditional Finnish Christmas buffet dinner. Later in the evening Santa Claus accompanied by his reindeers will visit the hotel and hand out small Christmas gifts for all the children.
This evening you will enjoy a gala buffet dinner with international Christmas delicacies at the hotel.
December 26: Departure
After a breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to Rovaniemi Airport in time for your departure flight home.
